Marina Vonzimmerman grew up in a small town in Alabama but considers herself a Floridian. Marina's love for medicine began when she became a Hospice volunteer. She attended Florida State University earning her Bachelors in Biological Sciences minoring in Mathematics and Chemistry. She continued her volunteer work in the community during her undergraduate years at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in the Cancer Unit and with Big Bend Hospice. Upon graduating she was accepted into the Dermatology Research and practicing Scholar’s program working as a medical assistant at Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee that specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery. She soon returned to Florida State receiving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice degree. She is a board-certified Physician Assistant through the NCCPA. She has a personal connection to women's health and is excited to extend gynecological and obstetric care to the women of Volusia County. In her free time, she is a certified scuba diver, outdoor enthusiast, and avid pickleball and tennis player.
